Release notes for iFormBuilder 4.3

***Please note that grouping will work on the admin tool, however grouping on the iForm client requires the 4.3 update which is heading to Apple this week***

Form Grouping

Ability to create a form group that can be assigned to users rather than assigning each page individually. This will show in the Form Assignment section and we have added a new column here to determine whether something is a Group or an individual form.

User Grouping

Ability to create user groups. A group can then be assigned to individual forms, or a Form Group. This will show in the Form Assignment menu as well and is listed as a "User".

If you are upgrading from a version that IS currently 4.0.XX

We had a couple instances where the application failed to open after upgrade and users had to remove the application completely and re-install. To be on the safe side please make sure you upload all records being stored on the device before attempting the upgrade.

    (Client)
    (Admin Tool)
    (FormBuilder)

*New inputs added directly below the currently selected input (rather than the bottom of the form).
Bug Fixes
  • CSV Upload - Fixed issue with default "Enclosed By" value being ignored on upload.
  • RedLaser SDK updated (3.2.4)

Release notes for iFormBuilder 4.0

***2 CRITICAL UPDATES: PLEASE SEE BELOW***

Please upload all records on the client before upgrading to the 4.0 client. Unsubmitted data will be lost during the upgrade process.

In FormBuilder, the “AutoSave” is now defaulted to be off. Please click on “Save” before leaving FormBuilder.

Enhancements (Features require 4.0 client except Server Record Copy)

  • DropBox Integration Your drop-box account can now be used seamlessly to host graphics for Client Customization fields, Widget Icons, Image Labels, and Image Option Lists. Place PDF files on your dropbox account for use with the attachment widget.
  • Record Copy - The ability to copy a record either on the client or server side has been added. The copied record can be made at the parent level, or any sub-form level (multiple paging sub-form).
  • Record View - The record view has changed for displaying parent records and sub-form records. Please review the changes as they may impact customers that capture a large number of sub-form records for a single parent record.
  • SORTFIELD SORTFIELD is a new member in the Reference ID family that works similar to DISPLAYFIELD. The primary difference is that SORTFIELD will display and sort the record view according to the element indexes that are defined.
  • Log-outWhen a user presses the Logout button, their license will be returned to the available pool if a connection to the server can be made. Users will not be able to see any forms or capture data until they sync to capture an available license. This action does not enforce the 7-day rule. You may login with your iPad
  • Private Local DB Each user that logs into any of the iForm client will create a new local database. This cuts down on sync time since all of the meta information is already stored locally and only the changes need to be downloaded.
  • Image Label There is a new widget in FormBuilder called Image Label. The purpose of this widget is to let users add images to their forms.
  • Image Option List You can link images to options in a list by creating images with the same file name as the option key value.
  • Widget Icon Similar to image option lists, each element on your form can have a widget icon. The image file name needs to match the data column name within the form.
  • RedLaser - Updated RedLaser SDK to latest release (3.1.2)
Bug Fixes
  • Null entry for Number input no longer shows "0" in List View
  • Billing drop-down list for user upgrade

Release notes for iForm/iFormBuilder 3.8

Enhancements

  • Attachment Widget - FormBuilder now has a separate Attachment Widget. This widget can be added to any form. The Attachment widget works similar to the Toggle widget; selecting the widget will take the user to the attachment and the element label is displayed on the button.
  • RFID Widget - FormBuilder now has a new separate RFID Widget. This widget can be used to read Radio Frequency Identification. In order to use this widget, the user will need a RFID reader fromIDBlue
  • Read-Only Widget - FormBuilder now has a separate Read-Only Widget. This widget performs similarly to the previous “read-only” option except the display will update in real-time when performing calculations.
  • Decryption of data across subforms - The built-in decryption process is now applied across sub-forms instead of only decrypting the top-level information only.
  • Reordering of Elements in FormBuilder - The Widgets in FormBuilder has been placed in alphabetical order under the Input Type tab.

Bug Fixes

  • iPad2 Camera - The Image widget has been updated to account for the photo-roll disappearing occasionally when trying to capture a photo on the iPad2.
